Met de serie “You are Here” spreek ik een maatschappelijk onderwerp aan. De aarde warmt op, vervuilt en onze technologisch geavanceerde samenleving lijkt ervoor te kiezen om zichzelf te vernietigen. Is de wereld nog te redden? En wie gaat dat doen?

In de serie is telkens een consistent thema van natuur en haar interactie met de mens terug te vinden. De serie bestaat uit portretten met een creatieve invalshoek door het gebruik te maken van unieke materialen en settings met als doel de kijker uit te dagen en tot denken aan te zetten. Er is gebruikgemaakt van natuurlijke elementen om zowel schoonheid als milieubewustheid over te brengen. Er is een krachtige emotionele lading voelbaar in de serie.

With the series You Are Here, I address a pressing social issue. The Earth is warming, pollution is increasing, and our technologically advanced society seems to be choosing self-destruction. Can the world still be saved? And who will take responsibility?
Throughout the series, a consistent theme of nature and its interaction with humanity is present. The work consists of portraits with a creative approach, using unique materials and settings to challenge the viewer and provoke reflection. Natural elements are employed to convey both beauty and environmental awareness. A strong emotional charge runs through the series.
